Deactivate a license🔗
Return a license to your account so you can move it to another location.
This guide is for deactivating a license from a location connected to your machine. You don’t need to deactivate licenses shared from a license server. Closing the protected app automatically releases the seat.
Goal
Move a license from its current location back to your account.
Before you start🔗
Close any protected apps that might be using the license, then sign in to Acme License Hub so the change can complete cleanly.
Steps🔗
- Find the license in its current location (Acme dongle or cloud session).
- Choose Deactivate.
- Confirm and wait for completion.
Outcome
The license appears under Available in your account and can be activated elsewhere.
